Our goal is to prevent irreversible heart muscle damage by enabling earlier treatment. We’re developing H-Guard, a long-term implant designed to recognise local biochemical signs of reduced blood flow to the heart.

The sensing principle
Listening to the heart’s chemistry.
At the core of H-Guard is a ceramic sensing element being developed to convert local potassium differences into an electrical signal.
By comparing blood leaving the heart muscle with a reference inside the heart, we aim to recognise changes at their source and turn them into an actionable warning.
